Before that, Larry had spent many years playing in various bands, including Wanted and Bus Stop, both founded by Peter Lacoste, a French pioneer of Rock \u2019n\u2019 Roll and Country Music. Bus Stop, a band well known to specialists in American music, was distributed in the United States by the Comstock Records Arizona label, and the song \u201cStation to Station\u201d, written by Peter, Larry and the members of Bus Stop, was played on 125 American and European radio stations.<\/p>\n Whether alone in the studio with his instruments, working on his original compositions, or on stage accompanied by the band, Larry, a passionate musician with a love of the English language and America, seeks to preserve and share a musical and cultural heritage of infinite richness, while respecting tradition, just as the great interpreters of jazz standards or music from centuries past do. The Spirit of Memphis is therefore proud to reinvent and explain the repertoire of the great musicians who shaped the history of American music in the second half of the twentieth century, such as Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Rick Nelson, Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, Charlie Rich, Hank Williams, Bill Monroe, Don Gibson, B.B. \u00ab The Ch\u00e2telguyon Theatre (63) decided to once again place its trust in Larry Lacoste and the band Bus Stop in 2017, following the tribute concert to Peter Lacoste held during the 2016 season, which featured artists such as Francis Huster, Juliette Gr\u00e9co, Anne Roumanoff, Lynda Lemay, Thomas Fersen, Thomas Dutronc and Michael Jones.<\/strong> To name but a few of the artists who have performed at this magnificent Italian-style theatre. \u00bb<\/p>\nBand Biography<\/h3>\n

The Spirit of Memphis was formed in 2012 at the initiative of Larry Lacoste, the band\u2019s leader, singer and guitarist.<\/p>\n

\nLarry is delighted to be joined by Bridget on bass and \u00c9ric Michel on guitar (Kevin Buckley, April May, Lexie Kendrick, The Yee-Haw Band<\/strong>…), Frank Bisson (The Big Muddy, Mandarine<\/strong>), on drums, and Jimmytry on piano. Alternatively, when Bus Stop comes together in tribute to Peter Lacoste, the line-up includes Domi (vocals), Marc Gorse (Laurette Canyon), Rod Opitch (Roch Voisine, Helena Noguerra<\/strong>...) and Jeff Gautier (Jean-Jacques Goldman, Paul Personne, Alain Souchon<\/strong>…)<\/p>\n
